Methodist Fresh Expressions Consultation

High Wycombe.

March 3rd-4th 2008 at the Wycliffe Centre,
This consultation is aimed at leaders and other key practitioners of fresh expressions of church within the Methodist Church.  The consultation will look primarily at the opportunities, problems and issues faced by those engaged in fresh expressions work.  The programme will be given over mainly to small groups working on relevant issues identified from current practice and knowledge.  There will be two concise keynote inputs, one by Rev Dr Martyn Atkins (President of the Methodist Conference), while the other will be given by fresh expressions leaders about their own experiences in this work.

A new course introducing the idea of Fresh Expressions of Church, Mission Shaped Intro  is being launched early next year and will run for the first time in this District  as a joint venture between Northampton, Nene Valley and Kettering and Corby Circuits, beginning on April 1st. Next year the District, together with the Birmingham District and 4 Anglican Dioceses is running The Mission Shaped Ministry  course at Rugby MC. The aim of the course is to prepare individuals and teams for pioneer ministry in fresh expressions of church within a mixed economy church. The start date is  April 12  2008.
