Our annual
District Day Conference, for all those involved in children’s and youth work,
will take place on Saturday 21st May 2011 in Wellingborough. This
will follow a similar format to previous Conferences but will be shared with a
number of other groups within the church, ie. lay employees, local preachers,
pastoral visitors and worship leaders. The day will still include the
opportunity to meet with those working with children and young people in other
circuits, but will also offer a much wider variety of workshops.

Core
Skills - training for children’s workers in the church
Core Skills is the ecumenical training programme for those who work with children in the church. The course has seven sessions and begins with an Introductory Session, followed by six more specific sessions:

Toolkit – a training day for Youth Workers
Toolkit is a training day being run in partnership with the URC for all those who work with young people in the church. Toolkit takes place on Saturday 13th November 2010 and offers an opportunity to explore a number of issues related to working with young people.
